Stephanie Heimann , is a founder of Fovea and a freelance photography editor. Previously, she has worked on various publications in New York, including Newsweek, Luxury SpaFinder Magazine, New York Magazine, Scientific American Magazine, and in Hong Kong for Time Asia. She spent 8 years living as an expatriate in Hong Kong and Moscow, where she worked as a photojournalist and photo editor, covering post-Soviet culture and the first war in Chechnya.
John Hockridge is a Senior Manager in the Capital Markets group of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Based in New York, Hockridge works with national and international investment management and investment banking clients who request assistance with their business strategy, people, process, and technology. Hockridge trained as a Chemical Engineer, with internships at Unilever and Proctor & Gamble, and graduated with a Bachelor and Masters degree from the Imperial College, London University in 1989. After a five-year stint with Accenture, he won a scholarship to the Cardiff Business School, UK where in 1996 he gained a second masters Economics in International Banking, Finance and Economics.
Julien Jourdes is former international photo editor on at Newsweek; he worked on covering the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and 9/11. He was the Acting Editorial Director at the prestigious photo agency, Magnum in Paris, and he is currently freelancing for the New York Times. He spent 1998 based in the African country of Gabon working for the French Cultural Center and relocated from his native France to New York to attend the International Center of Photography. Julien is a founding member of Fovea.
Susanne Neunhoeffer is a documentary and fine art photographer. She graduated from the documentary and photojournalism program at the International Center of Photography in 2000. Her work has been shown in exhibitions in New York, Mexico and France. Recently Susanne’s work was exhibited at the Center of Photography at Woodstock, and was part of the “Voies off 2004 des Rencontres Intenationales de la photographie”, in Arles, France. Her photographs are part of several private collections in the United States and Europe.
Caleb Cain Marcus received his formal education as a poet. He moved to New York City to begin his photography career with Ralph Gibson and has since worked with Robert Frank and Dodo Jin Ming. For the last two years he has been working on "The Silent Aftermath of Space" a series of photographs that attempt to capture the impressions people make on space. Caleb is also the design director for the Cygnet Foundation’s book division that recently published the critically acclaimed photography compilation, "Full of Grace". Caleb's photographs are in many permanent collections throughout the United States.
Sabine Meyer was born in France and obtained a Maitrise in Journalism in 1986 from the Centre Universitaire d’Enseignement du Journalism in Strasbourg. She started her career in print media in Strasbourg in 1987 and moved to the US in 1989 to pursue a Masters in Journalism. She has been a photo editor since 1992, and has worked for New York Magazine, Worth, Conde Nast Traveler, and National Geographic Adventure where she currently holds the position of Director of Photography. She has lectured for the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design and reviews portfolios regularly for Review Santa Fe, Review New York, and the International Center of Photography. She has been teaching photo editing at ICP since the fall of 2004.
Anna Pomykala is an attorney and the 2004 Rockefeller Brothers Fellow in Non-Profit Law at the Vera Institute of Justice in New York City where she addresses a range of legal issues affecting not-for-profit organizations. Her professional experience has focused on international human rights and health, and she has worked with organizations such as The Legal Aid Society, Doctors of the World USA and the Council of Europe with the aim of increasing access to care for marginalized populations. Ms. Pomykala holds a J.D. from New York University, a B.A. in Humanities from Yale University, an M.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago.
